Join Our Network

WALN not only connects landcare groups of all shapes and sizes, it provides landcare information and resources, and a collective voice for landcare across the State, assisting with funding and capacity.

A strong WALN membership base helps demonstrate the level of grassroots support for landcare in WA.

Membership of the WA Landcare Network Inc (WALN) includes two classes of membership:

Ordinary Membership open to any community group with an interest in landcare; and

Associate Membership open to individuals, local government authorities, businesses and research organisations engaged in landcare.

Note: WALN Associate Members have the same benefits as WALN Ordinary Members, however at this time we cannot offer voting rights or access to our WALN Insurance Scheme to this class of members.

What’s in it for you?

As a member of WALN you will be linking into a network of like-minded community landcare groups across Western Australia.

You will enjoy the following benefits:

* Regular newsletters, emails and events will keep you up to date on what’s happening in the WA landcare community, alerting you to funding opportunities, providing information on important landcare decisions which may impact on your work and advising of upcoming events, activities and resources. WALN Ordinary Members will be entitled to discounted registration fees for WALN activities and events.

* Networking events, our website and social media will provide opportunities for you to share your landcare stories with the wider WA landcare community and learn from other groups.

* Our new WALN Insurance Scheme, available to all WALN Ordinary Members , uses collective bargaining to significantly lower costs and provide affordable insurance to a range of landcare groups.

* Importantly you will be part of the collective voice that WALN is listening to and sharing with decision makers at State and Federal levels.  WALN hopes through strong advocacy on behalf of grassroots landcare we can better support and build capacity for landcare in WA.

* You can also help guide organisational strategic directions and nominate WALN committee members at WALN General Meetings. WALN Ordinary Members have one vote at AGMs and Special General Meetings
