The WA Landcare Network Committee and staff invite you to join them for a Network Gathering and General Meeting. The General Meeting will include adoption of new Rules of Association for the WA Landcare Network.

Prior to presentations WALN will hold a brief General Meeting to consider a Special Resolution to adopt new WA Landcare Network Rules of Association. The Notice of the proposed Special Resolution is provided below.

Please be advised that a Special Resolution will be considered to adopt new Rules of Association for the WA Landcare Network at a General Meeting on Friday 21 June 2019. The Special Resolution and proposed Rules of Association are provided for members consideration in the Meeting Agenda.
In accordance with WA Landcare Network’s current Rules of Association all representatives of WALN Member groups must be notified of a Special Resolution not less than 21 days prior to a meeting at which the Special Resolution will be considered. The Special Resolution will require more than a 75% majority vote to be carried. Please accept this email as written notification of the meeting.
A member may appoint an individual who is a representative of a WALN member group as his or her proxy to vote and speak on his or her behalf at the General Meeting. The appointment of a proxy must be in writing and signed by the member making the appointment.
The member appointing the proxy may give specific directions as to how the proxy is to vote on his or her behalf. If no instructions are given to the proxy, the proxy may vote on behalf of the member in any matter as the proxy sees fit.
The attached Proxy Form may be used, or any other form that clearly identifies the person appointed as the member’s proxy; and that has been signed by the member.
A form appointing a proxy must be given to the Secretary before the commencement of the General Meeting for which the proxy is appointed. A form appointing a proxy sent by post or electronically is of no effect unless it is received by the Secretary not later than 24 hours before the commencement of the meeting.
