Volunteer and Not for Profit Conference Subsidies

The WA Landcare Network are hosting the conference and one of our key goals is to have as many of our community group members and stakeholders attend and share their stories. We’re still putting the program together, you can be a part of this also with calls for presentations open till the 30 May 2019, or if in the north Metro area put in an EOI to host a field-trip. We’ve shortlisted a range of informative and inspiring keynote speakers and we’ll let you know as soon as we get confirmation they can attend. The State Landcare and Coastal Awards events will be held in conjunction with the conference (included in registration).

We’re well aware of the costs associated for volunteers and not for profit’s to attend ($550 registration plus travel and accommodation for those out of the city), so we’re working hard to raise funds to subsidise these costs through grants and sponsorship as soon as possible.

As part of this, we’ve been asked to demonstrate the need or demand for community land and coast carer’s to attend. We are asking you to call or send us a message letting us know that you’d like to come along, if the costs will be holding you back from doing this then let us know that too. If we have a long list of groups and members wanting to attend then it will build our case to cover costs greatly.

We have a very short form that you can fill out to express your interest in attending the conference and whether you would need a subsidy. If we are successful with securing funding for conference subsidies there will be more information about criteria and how to access subsidies distributed.
