Farewell to one of the landcare community’s best mates

One of the landcare community’s best mates, John Holley has recently retired from the State NRM Office.     The WA Landcare Network extends its heartfelt appreciation to John for a mighty effort securing and distributing many tens of millions of dollars straight to the folk on the ground – consistent support spanning decades.

We wish John the best for his future and hope to keep a strong connection with him into the future.

The State NRM Office posted the following about John’s career last week –

After more than 30 years working within the department, John Holley is retiring as Director of the State Natural Resource Management Program WA.

John has been an important cog in the NRM wheel for over 30 years working across WA and Australia. While he is leaving his role as a public servant, he is not abandoning NRM altogether and will be exploring new opportunities and challenges within the wider NRM network.

John has been a leader and mentor to so many of us over the years and will be a sad loss to this Office.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank John for his dedication and professionalism over the years and wish him well for his plans in the future.
