A Snapshot of the Community Landcare in WA
WALN is pleased to release the Infographic Summary of Results of the 2021 WA Landcare Network Biennial Survey.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey. The results have assisted greatly with our planning for 2022 and provided us with important data to inform our meetings last week with the Hon. Reece Whitby, Minister for Environment, Climate Change and the Hon. Darren West, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Regional Development; Agriculture and Food; Hydrogen Industry, informing our advocacy and actions to serve you better, both as WALN members and as our partners in the natural resource management and environment sector.
They inform as to:
- the capacity building and information events that you want and need
- what is happening in your organisations and where you need support
- the nature of your challenges and concerns
- the great work you are doing around the state to support the beautiful environment of WA
This was a more comprehensive survey than those previously conducted and provides a solid baseline for us to build upon going forward.
We are going to invite you to a Landcare Builds Skills in the very near future where we can workshop the fine art of data recording in your organisation, what works and what doesn’t, and how we can help you collate the data for the WALN survey when the time comes around again in 2023, which suddenly doesn’t seem very far away!
Every time you participate you add to the database that is evidence for demonstrating impact, which in turn helps us make a case to attract more co-investment for community landcare activities. Thank you!
If you would like to register your interest early in the data collection workshop please email kylie.payne@landcarewa.org.au
Kind regards
