Outcomes revealed that targeted planting of saltbush in salty and otherwise unproductive areas of the farm creates the opportunity to transform land into highly productive grazing country.

Brushwood in the Moore Catchment
‘Brushwood Industry development on saline land’
Brushwood trials were undertaken in the Moore Catchment area over the period between 2006—2009. The brushwood was planted under the project entitled ‘The Brushwood Industry Development on Saline Land’. Project participants indicated that the planting of brushwood has helped to mitigate the increase of salt into the surrounding paddocks and further downstream by sucking up excess groundwater.
